The I68 Advanced Pistol Course is designed for shooters who have already established solid fundamentals and are ready to progress. Successful completion of the I68 Pistol Fundamentals Course is required. Training begins with a brief review of safety standards, core shooting principles, and efficient holster work to confirm proficiency before advancing.
Instruction then moves into advanced defensive pistol skills, including rapid and efficient reloads, malfunction management, and threat identification. Students will apply these skills while shooting around barriers, working angles, discriminating targets, engaging multiple threats, moving dynamically, and performing under increasing levels of stress.
The course emphasizes refining trigger manipulation, improving efficiency, and building reliable habits that allow students to place accurate rounds when it matters. Equal emphasis is placed on understanding WHY each skill is employed, reinforcing sound decision-making and effective performance in defensive contexts.
