The I68 Shotgun for Home Defense Course is designed for responsible homeowners who choose a shotgun as their primary defensive tool. This course focuses on practical, reality-based considerations of defending yourself and your family inside the home—regardless of weapon platform.
This is not a Close Quarters Battle (CQB) or room-clearing course. Instead, instruction centers on sound judgment, threat management, and defensive decision-making in a high-stress home-invasion scenario. Students will learn how to prioritize the protection of loved ones, understand when movement inside the home is necessary, and how to establish strong defensive positions rather than pursuing an intruder.
Key concepts include consolidating family members when required, fighting from cover whenever possible, and recognizing that home invaders are often determined, aggressive, and unpredictable. Emphasis is placed on restraint, accountability, and understanding the legal, moral, and practical consequences of using a firearm in self-defense.
This course is ideal for homeowners who want a responsible, disciplined approach to shotgun-based home defense—focused not on tactics for chasing threats, but on protecting what matters most with clarity, control, and confidence.
